I downloaded the ih03 from ibm site on my local windows machine to purge messages from queues on different machines(windows and unix) from my local machine.I was able to purge the messages on the windows machine using this utility but I am not able to connect to the queuemanager sitting on the Unix machine.
I set up the environment variable with the value as below.
MQSERVER
SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN/TCP/SYSTEMNAME(PORTNUMBER)
Do I need to change the Mqserver variable to someother to connect to Unix.

Thanks in advance

As long as you actually put in the correct values for SYSTEMNAME and PORTNUMBER then you should be okay.

If the Unix server is set up to receive client connections, and your user is authorized.

But you should get an error message when you try to connect, and that will tell you what the problem is.
