Hi friends,

I just started with WBIMB V5 and our situation is we want to have both MQSI2.1 control center and WBIMBV5 toolkit coexist on same machine for developer. We already understand MQSI2.1 config mgr and broker can't coexist on the same box .

So my first question is , Is it possible to have MQSI 2.1 control center and WBIMB V5 toolkit on same development machine ?if yes then, steps required to configure on same machine?

Q2) Can we use oracle database instead of Db2 for our config managers? or wbimb v5 still tightly coupled with db2.

Extensive information about how to configure both the Control Center and the Toolkit on the same machine have already been posted here.

It should be findable using the search tool.

This is from the installation manual

2. You must use DB2 for the configuration repository maintained by the Configuration Manager. No other database is supported for this purpose. If you also use DB2 for your broker database, you can configure the same database for the configuration repository and the broker.
