We recently upgraded our Windows broker box and installed V5 CSD 3 again. I configured the MQSeries Data Direct 4.10 32-bit Oracle8 driver to talk to a unix database from a message flow.

This used to work on our old machine and I can't figure out why it doesn't on the new server.

What has changed however is the user id and password that the broker runs under on the new machine. The admin people added the user id to the database and I can test connect successfully to the database from the ODBC DSN panel. What is most puzzling is that I can successfuly execute a query through the ODBC connection using the Oracle SQL ODBC Test app that comes with the client (connecting to the database with the broker's service id), but can't get back any data from within a message flow using the same SQL.

The message below the select statement in the user trace says
"Finding one and only SELECT result", but the value is NULL when I assign it to a variable.

What could be wrong here?

Thanks
Alan

Solved. There is a parameter in the ODBC driver control panel, called SQLDescribeParam, that needed to be checked. It works fine now.
Sorry.
