Hi Friends,

I am working on setting the security for WBIMB V5 environment. Is there any document specific to security ( developers , admins etc) I can read?

And also since we have forced every windows user to change their password , Is there anyway that changed passwared also gets change for WBIMB V% automatically or still we have to do it manually?

thanks for your help

There is a messagebroker_Configuration_Administration_and_Security manual. You can find the link to WBIMB manuals on the top of this forum.

Hi,
Thanks for your help,

In our current environment every developer is doing development on windows 2000machine and due to security regulations our windows passwords are forced to change after 3months .

Is there anyway we can establish, that incase of changeof password at their terminals .......developers are prompted to chage password at WBIMB level also......in other words we don't have to change at WBIMB server manually.

Please help

So, every developer in your environment has his own broker and config manager on his machine? Am I understanding you right?

If you need to have MachineA/User1 have the same password as MachineB/User1, then you need to put both MachineA and MachineB into a domain, then the user will be using DOMAIN/User1 on both MachineA and MachineB.

This is the best way to do this.

Otherwise, you can specifically authorize MachineA/User1 INSTEAD of MachineB/User1 on MachineB.

However, doing either of those things is not a WMQI question. Ask your network administrator.
