I am able to successfully compile the sample plug-in node and i also performed the following steps
Created a new user defined project
Created a new user defined node-plugin
When i am performing the Run-Run As - Run Time Workbench step I am recieving the following error

I added the boot.jar to the ClassPath Environment Variable. But still not able to perform the operation.
Can some one tell what am i missing. I am a newbie to plug-in node development

I dont know whether you can use this option on a plug-in node or not. Are you able to see the plug-in node in your toolkit? Which redbook example are you referring to?
