We are getting this error over and over in our SystemLog file:
FMC31100W The message ChndTxnActImplComplete could not be processed because of a database deadlock or timeout. The message will
be retried.
I know this error has been posted before, but was not sure what the root cause is. Is it caused by using a specific workflow construct, configuration parameter on our Runtime database, configuration parameter on workflow itself, etc...? This error is most prevalent when we create several work objects back to back from an injector type process. Yesterday over 90 records ended up in the Hold Queue for reprocessing.
We are running 3.4 SP3 or SP4 on AIX, DB2 7.2 (don't know the service pack). We run the runstats on a weekly basis as recommended, but do not see any impact.
I suggest that you upgrade to the latest ServicePack (SP6 in this case).
If this doesn't help you should contact IBM's support channel. Such a huge number of deadlocks are not acceptable and will impact your system performance.
