Principals are defined using the operating system facilities provided on the system on which the User Name Server is running (for example, the User Manager on Windows NT). These principals can be associated with any of the topics listed in the Topics pane and you can set the permissions described in the section on ACL permissions against the principals to control their access to a topic.
Note: Your system must run with a User Name Server. If you do not have a User Name Server running, you will not be shown a list of the available users and groups to which you can assign permissions to topics. When you create your Configuration Manager, you must specify the queue manager on which your User Name Server is running.
Check the Control Center help and also Admin guide for further info regarding the User Name Server |
