Hi,
We are trying to install WMQ 5.3 on an
XP Professional which I believe from the
IBM WebSite should ebe a supported platform:
"WebSphere MQ for Windows, V5.3
Operating system:
Microsoft Windows NT V4.0, to include TCP/IP, NetBIOS, and SPX with Service Pack 6a
Microsoft Windows 2000 (Professional or Server Edition) or Windows 2000 Advanced Server
Microsoft Windows XP (Professional)
Microsoft Windows 2003 Standard and Enterprise edition
(Please read the notes in the product README before attempting to install.
Windows Terminal Services technology
Microsoft Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2 or Microsoft Windows XP (Professional)
In Remote Administration Mode only
Requires WebSphere MQ CSD03 (U200187) or higher. "
However we get
'This version of IBM WebSphere MQ does not yet support Windows XP.
A CSD will provide this support'
on the Launchpad for 'software requirements'
Once we have installed the base software we want to install CSD5.
Does anybody know how to install the base WMQ server software on
XP Professional?
Many thanks

Can't find the link right now, look in the read me there should be something about installation pending CSD1, so you can install and then apply any CSD (at the time of writing CSD1 was not out) _________________ Michael

Sounds like you have an the original release of MQ 5.3
What you need to do is(where "x" is the drive you're installing to):
x:\setup.exe AMQ_XP_INSTALL_PENDING_CSD=1
Then download the latest CSD (CSD 07) and apply it.
