Hi,
I have migrated a messageset from 2.1 version to 5.0. There were many alerts shown and to that i see few elements missing. For few elements the typ is set to ANONYMOUS since the compund types are not found. Why is it so??? when we do migration, in what situations the elements will be missed. and how to resolve this issue???
Thanks. |

Did you look at the log file after migration? What reason does it give for missing element? _________________ Kiran

Are you sure the elements are actually missing? By default, the migration tool creates a local element for any element which is only referenced in one place. So if you look under 'Elements' you will not see it, but if you expand the message definition (or the parent group/parent complex type), it will be there. If you really don't like this behaviour, you can use the /g switch on the migration tool, and it will create everything as global. But don't do that unless you really need to - local definitions are a great idea.
As to the name 'ANONYMOUS' on some of your types - these are just local type definitions. They were created as local because they are only used once. |

In the report file, it didn't give any error. It was succesful. But when i was looking into it, I found few of them in the types are not there.
So how can i get those missing types. Do i need to create them. or do you sggest to remove the message set and migrate again. But still i don't think it will be of much help. Any suggestions???
Also i have got so many alerts like:
@deprecation - compound elements are deprecated: element 'createddate'....
like this for many elements. and other alerts like :
Broker will treat complex type definition 'xxx' as <open> because it has mixed content, for many complex type definitions.
Also in the flow ' Node "y" (which is an MQinput node) has an unconnected catch terminal. |

I repeat - these types/elements have been successfully imported. They have been imported as local types/elements because they're only used in one place. |
