Hi
My objective is to send messages from one queue manager to another encrypted via SSL.
I've browsed through various postings on this site concerning SSL but I haven't found the responses comprehensible.
I have never worked with SSL before. I am using MQSeries 5.3 on Solaris 2.8. I'm quite familiar with MQSeries and configuring queues and channels but it seems that SSL is an order of magnitude more complex than other MQSeries facilities.
I can code using MQ APIs but don't want to have to write exits to support SSL.
I'm patched to CSD06.
Do I require some facility to generate certificates, or can I create any sort of doc that'll act as a certificate once it's installed in the key repository ?
I downloaded the SSL.zip tutorial but its focus is NT, not Solaris.
Any responses welcome, though I'd prefer not to be directed to some other posting.
Thanks in advance to all you MQ gurus
