This is a fresh installation.
I have evrything on one box, broker config manager and toolkit.
Both broker and config manager are on the same QMGR.
I connected to the config manager. I created a broker in the toolkit and tried to deploy it. The deploy never comes back.
The broker is running. (In the event viewer I get a message saying broker entered running state and from the task manager I see a bipconfigmgr process and 2 bipservice processes).
I don't know what else to do.
Is there any problem with CSD04. I remember on another box I had CSD03 and it was working fine.
I have the following
WMQ 5.3 CSD07
WBIMB 5 with CSD04
DB2 8.1 FP7
Do you think I should wait longer, I mean an hour or so andd see if deployment works?
Thanks |

If my broker is running then should I be seeing a bipbroker process. I don't see it on my machine. |

I dont think its a CSD4 issue. I have CSD4 installed and my broker is running fine.
Do you see other services running? Like bipconfigmgr, bipservice, dataflowengine etc. _________________ Kiran

I see one bipconfigmgr
two bipservice processes
No DataFlows (I think that's ok because there are no messageflows deployed yet) |

So your second bipprocess belongs to Broker process. Do you see any errors in event viewer? Can you turn on the trace on the broker? _________________ Kiran

Thanks
I turned on the trace using mqsiservice (it wouldn't let me do mqsichangetrace)
From the trace I saw
Quote: |
BIP2322E: Database error: SQL State 'IM002'; Native Error Code '0'; Error Text '[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified'. |
I then checked my ODBC data sources and then the databases were under User DSN and not under System DSN. So added them under System DSN.
Then restared the broker and it started fine.
Now I am able to see the following processes under task manager
bipbroker
bipconfigmgr
bipservice (2 of them)
biphttplistener
BUT
(I didn't do all of the above. Our MQSI guru helped me do all this)
If the broker failed to start he says it should be logged in event viewer but it is not. Any ideas? |
