Sorry about this guys. Just trying to get my head round it.
I have always used the settings from the Solaris quick start guide irrespective of what box I am on (2 processors or 102). I was just wondering if the kernel parameters should be tuned for each box or whether it is best to leave them all at the standard settings as provided in the guide. I know that thay may need to change for other applications but I'm talking from a pure MQ point of view here.

I can't get the SupportPac to download right now, but I thought that there were some guidelines in the performance SupportPac regarding what some of the parameters did and what you should do to tune them.
