I've downloaded the 90day trial version for practice/testing purposes and installed it on a SUSE 9.1 server.
I've followed all the instructions(Quick Beginnings) and also tried all the hacks I've seen on here ( AMQ_INHIBIT_DLCLOSE="TRUE", LD_ASSUME_KERNEL="2.2.5" or 2.4.19), but I still can't create any queues:
When I try, the program just hangs ad infinitum, using 99% of CPU in the process. If I kill the processes, the queue objects do appear to have been created, but don't work. I won't rabbit on about this, as there's plenty of other posts here with exactly the same problem.
However, I appear to be the only one mentioning a 2.6 Kernel ...am I flogging a dead horse?
Any help/comments Much appreciated, L |

Right. I'm going to do an odd thing and flame myself, as I deserve it having worked in IT for 7 years:
Have you installed the fixpacs you prat? No? Well go and do that, and come back if still does not work.
(Pack 7 fixes the problem).
I guess the good thing to come out of this is that MQ seems to work on a 2.6 Kernel |

Websphere MQ CSD07 works with Fedora core 2, kernel-2.6.7-1.494.2.2 and LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19. _________________ Gunter Jeschawitz
