Dear all,
Can someone please tell me how I can determine the equivalent version/fix pack of MQ Series on the iSeries Server in relation to the Intel Server. The version we are running on the Intel Server is V5.2.1 - CSD06.
Thanks in advance |

I am not sure
But found this from the Readme of the CSD
Quote: |
The latest service level is known as the -> CSD07 <- set of PTFs.
You can verify your current service level by calling program MQVER
using command CALL QMQM/MQVER, or by viewing the build date which is
logged in WebSphere MQ FDC reports. For CSD07, this data is:
MQVER: Name: WebSphere MQ
MQVER: Version: 530.7 CSD07
MQVER: CMVC level: p530a-07-040513
MQVER: BuildType: IKAP - (Production) |
PS:
Wrong forum by the way |

I am not sure why you have provided that link. But to find out the MQ version and the patch level installed on a particular machine:
In distributed platforms like Windows HP-UX AIX Solaris you can use the command
mqver
On iSeries you can use
CALL QMQM/MQVER
That is what I was pointing to. |

Hi Vennela,
Your answer helped me determine what the version and cumm fix the MQ Version on the iSeries server is, however I needed to also know what the equivalent of that on the Intel Server was, bearing in mind that I have no access to the Intel Servers in question.
Thats why I included the URL in my reply. Anyway you may be able to answer another question I have.
Do you know of any commands or API's on the iSeries that can create a creation script based on the current MQ objects and definitions. So that I can use the MQSC command to recreate my MQ environment should it be necessary?
Thanks in advance. |
