I need an API (method) which will get me the x&y coordinates of the current focus area.
For example, in my desktop, if a particular file is selected and my mouse is somewhere else, I want the coordinates of the selected folder.
Can any one help me on this please. |

Hi,
It is the undocumented API called MQStatus. You just use the coordinates option and it returns the X & Y values.
The 'M' in MQ stands for magic. So any completely irrelevant, non-related MQ items can be retrieve from the MQStatus API call.

Hi,
I have been taking many courses but I have not had any luck at reading people's minds.
Programming Lesson 101 - Things you MUST post with your questions:
(1) What OS (operating system) are you running the program on? i.e. Windows, Linux, Unix with or without X11, mainframe 3270, etc... ??????
(2) What language your you programming in? i.e. VB, C, C++, C#, Java, COBOL, Perl, REXX, etc...
(3) Posting question(s) to the correct forom.
You did none of the above. You didn't tell us the OS the program will be running on and what language you are coding in and finally, how this relates to WebSphere MQ (MQSeries).
I mean seriously, how could you possibly think that getting screen attribute information is related to MQ????????????????????
