Hello all.
I have running some MQ Series Installations and want to monitor them.
I tested "MO71: WebSphere MQ for Windows - GUI Administrator" but the actual version is not what i need.
So i write the author and he sent me an alpha version of the new one.
This version includes the features i need, but there are other bugs that the tool is not working very well in the alpha version.
The author also didnt answer me by mail if he fix it and bring out a new version.
So i have to look around for another software.
I want to monitor queues and channels and want to run a extern script if something happend. (with the errors!)
Do you know some free Monitoring Tools for MQ Series?
I am looking forward to your answers!
Thank you.

Very hard to believe. Paul Clarke is one of the most responsive people I know!
It must be because he is very busy fixing problems! _________________ Michael

You can download contact admin's MQControl Express from http://www.contact admin.com/products/ap_wsadmin.shtml
Note that the Free version is limited to just 2 Q Managers. If you need the full version (unlimited QMs) you need to contact contact admin sales (info@contact admin.com).

Running extenal commands on events or based on some user defined rules is available in the contact admin MQ solution offering and uses a user friendly GUI interface. If you contact contact admin they can provide you with both a webex or a link that will demonstrate its ease of implementing the running of external commands, automation, sending pages or emails based on an event or a metric threshold. |

Unlike the other two people who have posted in response, I'm not a contact admin employee...
I suspect that if you got this response from the contact admin sales team, then you did not explain your question in the right way for them to understand it.
As the other two said, this is definately a part of the full version. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Do you know who said this?..I will have this guy fired...just kidding!!
Note that, what you are trying out is only a scaled down version of the real product and so lots of features/functions are locked out. contact admin's Contact Admin/WMQ product is probably what you need to look at for the sort of functions you are asking for.
I hope I answered your question clearly.
