Is it possible to have a GUI install with WF 3.5 on AIX provided xserver is installed on the server? Is that what the smity install is or is that something else...

NO
You have to use either SMIT or geinstall or installp (I am not sure if the last one is supported on your AIX OS level) |

Thanks vennela. Just to fully understand here, are you saying that the SMIT or the "geinstall/installhlp" is the only way to install WF3.5 on aix 5.1? If so that's fine, i just wanted to make sure of that, then that way I can pursue the SMIT/SMITTY route. - Nathan.
