We are new to the WBIMB world and wondering how others handle version/source control and promotions to production.

We are a mainframe environment, and as such, the powers that be don't want developers promoting things to the production environment (can't say that I blame them). With the toolkit, everything is done on the developer's desktop using the GUI interface. Can anybody in a similar situation share how you get new WBIMB applications to production?

We are using MKS to handle source control. Using MKS, I can check in my source to a shared server. From there, it looks like we could create some scripts to build the bar file using mqsicreatebar.exe, and to deploy the bar file using mqsideploy.bat.

Is that generally the process others are using? Anybody have a better way?
