Any one know how to use queue manager's connect option:MQCNO_FASTPATH_BINDING from MQClient to connect a queue manager on a MQServer?
For example: from a client program on MQClient(Win2K) to connect a queue manager on MQServer(HP-Unix). For using manager's connect option: MQCNO_FASTPATH_BINDING, what should I do at the MQServer(HP-Unix) and what should I do at the MQClient(Win2K)???
Can I get some advice?

You can't use FASTPATH binding aka TRUSTED binding from a client. What FASTPATH means is that your MQ app, when it communicates with MQ gets to access the shared memory of MQ directly, bypassing the agent process. This can be more efficient but much more risky. If your app crashes, you can corrupt your queue manager. FASTPATH only works with applications that are colocated on the same machine as the queue manager. This means that client connections are not eligible to use FASTPATH. |

Thank you very much kolban.
I know I have to study more about MQ after seeing your reply.

I would recommend ibm.com, as all the MQSeries documentation is available online there. However, as far as I know, there aren't really any MQ tutorial sites out there, i.e., a more structured method of instruction as compared to the MQSeries manuals... Of course, I must use this opportunity as a shameless plug for mqseries.net, as I think you'll be able to find a lot of great instructional material here!
