WebSphere MQ Messages Manual is more in depth when it comes to error codes and what they mean. The APR manual Eddie mentioned is good because if you look up an MQ verb (like MQCONN) it will tell you all the possible return codes that call can throw at you.

Sorry.  I keep forgetting that IBM moved the Reason codes, and their descriptions out of the APR Appendixes to the Messages manual.
