Hi All,

We have one critical issue in our set up.

MQ5.2 with Windows 2000.

amqmsrvn.exe constantly takes 200k and the CPU usage we get is 100%

The process amqmsrvn.exe never decreases under 40% CPU, causing permanent CPU overloads.

Is there a way to make the process to consume low CPU ?
or is there a problem with MQ version used ?

Other process running in the same boxes are behaving normally.

There is no log or FDC generated.

Please help

It shouldnt... Try applying the latest maintenance, and also check your registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IBM\MQSeries\CurrentVersion

Delete the 'Autostart' registry value before the installation -Delete 'Autostart' even if it itself is just set to zeros. (It might be put back later, dont worry about it).

Delete the 'Autostart' registry value before the installation. The Autostart registry value appears immediately under key:

Delete 'Autostart' even if it itself is just set to zeros.

Also, do you have any reg keys for previously deleted qmgrs?

Hi,

Thanks for Reply,

I saw the current version as 5.2 csd0.

I couldnot find the reistery names 'Autostart' under the CurrentVersion.

Do you mean to say migration to MQ5.3 CSD5 will resolve the problem ???

No, I was saying that applying a later 5.2 fixpack will give you all the fixes (hundreds) over base (if you are csd00).

dont worry if the key isnt there
