After installing WMQWF 3.4 SP5 buildtime on XP/2000/NT I created a configuration.
XP/2000 work just fine.
On the NT machine, whenever I try to open buildtime it is asking me for the ODBC logon, I give the ODBC login values and it throws an error
Run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object

I tried searching here and on the IBM site and it is similar t this link

http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&q1=runtime+error+429+buildtime&uid=swg21109449&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&cc=us&lang=en

I tried to issue the command fmczreg and still it didn't get rid of the problem.

Are there any NT/MQWF 3.4 users who faced the problem?

I tried to register the .ocx files using regsvr32 and then open the buildtime it still didn't work.

Is there something that I am missing.

Venny:

Does fmczchk report any unregistered ocx?

If so try registering that one ocx w/ regsvr32.

I can not reproduce I am at 3.4.0.5.

I do have a MSAcess BE though. When you defined did you specify userid/passwd for the BT db2 create? I don't think you can run config without this, but since I use Access all the time for BT, I am just throwing out a thought.

Good Luck

Vennela,
I faced the same problem with WF 3.4 SP5. I tried reinstalling WF, but still I got the same problem again and again.
Next thing I tried was, as soon as I install WF 3.4 on my machine I ran fmczreg command (before restarting my machine). This had solved "Run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object"
problem.
Even after reconfiguring I used to get the following error when I ran fmczchk
Code:
FMC34110E: Typelib for msflxgrd.ocx not found at {5E9E78A0-531B-11CF-91F6-C2863C385E30}.

Then I ran this command
Code:
regsvr32 msflxgrd.ocx

After that this error also gone.

Good Luck
