I have WMQI 2.1 and WMQ5.3(CSD7) installed on an NT server.
I have created a config manager and username server, and all services start OK. When I try to run the Control Centre, a message is placed on the SYSTEM.BROKER.CONFIG.QUEUE, and remains there, whereas normally you would not expect to see this message at all, it would be retrieved so quickly. The message data is 'HEARTBEAT.DOMAIN OFF'
Eventually, the control center displays an error - 1350E - the current operation has timed out.
The queue manager is running and its listener is running. The serverconn channel SYSTEM.BKR.CONFIG is running and bipconfigmgr.exe is running.
I can connect successfully to a config manager on another machine, with the same software installed from the control center. The only difference between the machines is that the failing one is an NT server, and the succeeding one is an NT desktop. |

Yes. I know that.
When you launch Control Center and try to connect to this ConfigMgr, what happens?
What screens do you see? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I put the config manager connection details in to the Control Centre file connection and try to connect.
Eventually, the BIP message comes up and the control center asks 'Retry or cancel'? If I retry I get the same result, if I cancel, the control center closes down as it has no config manager to interrogate. |

Only success messages for starting the queue manager, config manager and user name server. No broker, because once I get the control center to run, I will be deploying to a broker on a UNIX box. |

When I start the services, everything seems OK, but when I try to stop them, they will not stop. The only way to stop them is to stop the processes or to set them to manual at startup and reboot. Looks like they're not into communication. |
