Hi All,
Can any one please tell me if I can go through a blob message like character array in C so that I can take each character and compare it with a specific one.

Hi,

here are some examples getting information from blobs i used for developing a monitoring system.

set FIELDNAME = SUBSTRING(CAST (InputRoot."BLOB"."BLOB" AS CHAR CCSID InputRoot.Properties.CodedCharSetId) FROM 1 FOR

;

getting the message length:
set MESSAGELENGTH = length(InputRoot."BLOB"."BLOB");
