I have two queue manager 'QM1' and 'QM2' running on a single Solaris Box. My QM1 is talking to a NT box named NT1 and QM2 is talking to NT2.
My QM1 is working just fine , but QM2 is having some problem.

The output of display chstatus(*) is as follows.

CHANNEL(UXQA01.NTQA01) XMITQ(NTQA01.XMITQ)
CONNAME(10.5.61.201) CURRENT
CHLTYPE(SDR) STATUS(RUNNING)
AMQ8417: Display Channel Status details.
CHANNEL(NTQA01.UXQA01) XMITQ( )
CONNAME( ) CURRENT
CHLTYPE(RCVR) STATUS(STOPPED)

Following are the entries in /etc/services

MQ1 1414/tcp
MQ2 1824/tcp

Entries in /etc/inetd.conf is also correct.

when I did,

runmqlsr -t tcp -m QM2 -p 1824

I got the following ouput.......

tcp/ip couldnot bind to pot 1824.

Can anyone help me with issues please ?

This means, port 1824 is already in use.

Either you use inetd or runmqlsr, you can't use both at the same time.

If you look for information, why is a channel not running, look in the queuemanager error log, every statechange will produce an entry.

Can you stop trying to resolve the same question in 2 different threads, under 2 different UsedIDs please.

Cheers,
