New to MB 5, installed MB 5 on my box, tried creating a message set but i dont see a way to create a message definition file, When i right click on my message set the manual says i should see a message definition file creation option but i dont. Is it because i did not install correct service paks. Does it have anything to do with the Agent controller? cuz i havent installed an agent controller yet.
i still cud create a flow without message set and it works.
please help. |

There might be problem with your installation. reinstall along with fix pack csd05 and then open the broker tool kit. Better to install the agent controller too.
Hope this works out! |

The current fixpack is CSD03.
There was a problem with the Message Definition File option missing from the pop-up in the initial release (base + FP01) as I remember. However this was fixed in CSD02 and if you have installed CSD03 you should now definitely see the option 'New/Message Definition File', between 'Message Set' and 'Message Category File'!
CSDs for all MQ products can be accessed from:

Judging from the timestamps of the last two replies we must have just about hit 'enter' at the same time! |

A tip - if you are using the New menu in Eclipse and an expected menu item is not present, look under Other and drill down. You should find it there. I have occasionally experienced problems where New menu items have vanished. |
