Hi All,
I have a clustered setup of queue managers
Suppose I restart a Queue manager with Amqmdain, the channel initiator starts running, but the cluster sender channel to the repository doesnt come up.
If I start the queue manager with strmqm, then the Cluster Sender channel does start running, Auto Defined channel exit will be called. but the Channel initiator is in stopped state.
Can anybody tell me why it happens so..
Regards,

How can you tell?
Are you using the MQServices to get this information? If yes, then that might be not right.
Look at the processes (by doing a ctrl + alt + del) thar are running after you issue strmqm and see if there is a runmqchi process. That will tell you whether a chin is running or not. |

Hi,
Thanks for the reply,
when I checked the Process in Task manager, the runmqchi is running.
The UserName starting the process shouldn't matter is it.
when I rightclick on queue Manager and tell start in the MQ Explorer, the user name will be MUSR_MQADMIN. But when I do STRMQM on command prompt the UserID is my ID say MB(with which i login into machine). Will this matter as to who started the process.

If you start queumanager with strmqm, it will run with the interactive user and will be stopped if the userer ends the session. amqmdain triggers the mqseries service to start the queuemanager or listener, it's the same as start it in the Websphere MQ Explorer or Services.
If you start a queumanager with strmqm, it doesn't uses the services configuration, you have to start the listener.
Don't mix commandline and services to start anything from mq.
Commandline: strmqm, runmqlsr ...
Services: amqmdain, Websphere MQ Explorer, Websphere MQ Services
There is a known problem with CSD06 on Windows( listener lost configuration after reboot ) _________________ Gunter Jeschawitz
