I am in the process of replacing my current MQSeries hub server with a new one. As this is a hub qmgr there are 50+ channels defined on it going to 50+ different destinations. Currently I am running MQSeries 5.0 on an NT 4.0 machine. The new one is a Win2k machine. My concern is how can I recreate the qmgr on the new server without having to manually reset all the channels that are defined. Once I get MQ loaded on the new machine can I simply copy the channel synchronization file from the old machine to the new machine? Does anyone have experience with this? I plan to upgrade to MQ 5.2 for this hub but I think it would be easier to migrate it first and then do the upgrade as the installation process for MQ 5.2 takes care of the channel sequence numbers for you. Any thoughts or pointers would be appreciated.
