Hi all,
I am trying implement following scenario.
1. I am creating workitem for a user "USER1"
2. I log in checkout the workitem but I do not complete it. So now the workitem is in checked out state
3. I log in as "USER2" who has authority to view the workitems of "USER1"
Now Here What I actually intend to do is I want to do cancelCheckout of the workitem that "USER1" owns but I think only the owner of the workitem can do that, so what I did here in our customized application was, I am using the forceRestartActivity command.
But the problem here is when I do forceRestartActivity loged in as "USER2"the workitem gets transfered to "USER2" which I do not want to happen, so I was trying to call the transfer command using builtinhandler in forceRestartActivityResponse but I am getting object is empty exception. I printed some statements on the console in the response method and built in handler (I am not changing built in handler in any way) I see that workitem owner is still "USER1". (i was using workitem.owner() ) But suprisingly in webclient it shows up the owner as "USER2" . It is very confusing how this forcerestartactivity is working. And in the webclient for that particular workitem after it is force restarted i see in the properties under staff , in the worklist of shows "USER1","USER2"
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT ,
thanks in advance

Yahooooooooo, I know what the problem is. When you do forcerestartactivity it is changing the workitemID, I am not sure why it is implemented this way but that is very suprising.
I am not sure what to use to search for the workitem since the only handle to search for is the persistant id, which is supposed to remain always constant ?? I need to look into that now, it should be not be big deal when compared to my previous problem, but if anyone have ideas please do add to this post thanks.
