Hi all,
Can any one please tell me how to set up Security exit. I have to apply a security exit (Server in Windows 2003, WMQ5.3)in such a way that a queue can be accessed by only one Client(windows, Connection from one IP like 10.11.200.130 should be ok).
example: To a queue with name AAA, I want only one client to access this queue with only get option. no one else should access it. It's a thin client.
1. Is that i have to use Security Exit on Server connection channel. and
2. can we write Security exits using java or we have to go through dll's using C.
I am trying from some of the Examples from this site, I am not able to make it work. how to handle it.
Please, help me.
Thanks,
Suri |

Hi suri,
I think you can use setmqaut from command line on server end.this command allow you grant privileges(connect,open,put,get... ) for each user .of course if other client wich know user on server wich was granted privilege. It can connect to server.

http://www.mrmq.dk/index.htm?tips_and_tricks.htm#BlockIP2
check the BlockIP2 exit. It's a really nice exit that can used to restrict access control based on IP.
We are also planning to promote to Production so that no dev and simprod boxes can access.
Admin access on these prod boxes is through another prod box that is restricted to level2 support. |
