Hi,
I have followed the steps for installing and using the SMTP version of the sendmail PlugIn from IA07. I can send mail successfully, but when I try to send an email with an attachment it does not work...
I just copied the sample emails with attachments in the documentation but when it is sent I receive the email (in Lotus Notes) but without the attachment. Any suggestions why?
Thanks,
Vicky |

Hi,
I have this working now, but a developer has a question about which MIME types the SendMail Plug-In node supports. Can anyone tell me or point me to helpful documentation? At the moment I am going to say test it and see but that might not go down very well. In particular he wants to send .csv and .xs files.
Also, can you tell me if there is a limitation on the attachment size using this node?
Thanks in advance,
Vicky |

Apparently there's a newer version of the sendmail plugin that does support attachments. Ignore the rest of this.

I think with the Sendmail plug in, you have to build all attachments yourself, including the MIME part headers and delimiters. Particularly if you wanted to send any kind of binary file, you'd have to manually base64 encode them first.
And I'm not sure if you can tell it to include a MIME-Version header. Looking at the manual for it, it seems like all you can do is put stuff in the body of the email.
Of course, it comes with source code, so you can modify it to meet your own needs, I guess. |

Vicky,
Can you tell me how you were able to send attachments with the
sendmail plugin? I'm having the same problem - it sends the email
but not the attachment. I'm using WMQI V2.1.
Thanks in advance |
