Hi,
This is a very welcome news for WBIMB guys, that Java classes can be called from ESQL..
It may result into avoiding the creation of user-defined nodes (at least in Java..!!)
But we have to really see whether the transaction-management is still supported throu ESQL, or we have to take care of it in our custom Java Classes.
I have posted a couple of questions about using DSN-less connectivity to database throu WBI Message Broker, but unfortunately it was not possible. Hope, this new CSD Supports Java Classes, throu which we can use Type3 and Type4 Database Driver Connectivity.
This may also help in my other problem of Folder Tracking mechanism..
Hopefully, we will have a good support.
Because my greatest worry of all was that, once control is handed over to Message Flow, it loses contact with local file system... but through this new Support of calling Java Classes, we may be able to do both Message Processing and File-IO Activities (where, we can read the data from a file, convert it into a Websphere MQ Message and write it to the Input Queue..)
At least these are my expectations from new CSD4..

Well, it's not clear as to what they will support in terms of calling Java classes. I don't think they will implement transactional File I/O activities, so I'd recommend that you don't hold you breath on that one.
