Dear Sir,

We need to find the way out, configuring MQ to participate in a Two-Phase-Commit with a java application (using JTA/JDBC transaction function, offered by MQ base java) Our environment is going to be following below.

OS: Windows2000 (SP4)
DC: IBM WebSphere MQ v5.3 (?)
DB: IBM DB2 v8.1 (Fixpack6; JDBC 2.0)
SDK: Java J2SE 1.4.1_06

As a matter of fact, we aren't still able to assure that the version of DB2 is really applicable on this transaction work. IBM formal web site mentions nothing?

The current Fixpack for MQ is 7 & 'interim', and will it be supported ?
http://www-306.ibm.com/software/integration/mqfamily/platforms/supported/wsmq_for_winnt2000_5_3.html

We would be most grateful if you give any information (with a reliable reference) on this issue.

Best regards,
:)

mqdb2log.java at http://www.developer.ibm.com/tech/sampmq.html might be a sample that can help you to get things working.

Fix Pack 7 for WMQ is shipped and supported. I'm not sure where the interim reference came from.

The URL that you reference doesn't have the version of DB2 listed that you want. However, since what you want is later, I'd suggest that you try it out.

I have the same running XA with MQ CSD07,DB2 FP 6. your JMS provider must have 'XA' selected, and you must create a datasource using an XA JDBC provider.

There is a good article on IBM's developer works about how to configure oracle, db2 and MQ in XA.

Thanks for your reply. Your suggestion may be right,
'trying out' will be the best answer.

The 'interim' reference is below.
