Dear All,
is there a way to disable the auto-start of the channel initiator while starting a Queue-Manager?
I assume it to be a parameter in the qm.ini file, but there, I don’t see any option related to ‘runmqchi’.
And checking the manuals didn’t give me any further clue neither.
(The reason for this is that we want to have the channel initiator running under
the control of the Sun Cluster HA for Websphere MQ Fault Monitor.)
We are running Websphere-MQ for Solaris V5.3 on a Sun/Solaris Cluster HA 3.1.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Hans |

Not tested, but the intercomms implies that there is a key Chinit which decides this, something like in the qm.ini:
QUEUEMANAGERSTARTUP:
CHINIT=No ; Start the CHINIT" (Case-sensitive?) |

Jason,
that's it; thanks a lot for your help!
Although it didn't work in 'all-uppercases' (not even an
error code), it finally worked this way:
QueueManagerStartup:
Chinit=No
And i also found the 'Configuration file stanzas' in the appendix
of the Intercommunication manual. . .
Thanks again,
Hans |
