Hi,
Question 1: My broker which created by different Queue Manager with config manager can not be started in toolkit.
Question 2: The broker which shares the same queue manager with config manager can be deployed sucessfully. But the message flow can not be started in a execution group
Question 3: My toolkit usually doesn't work well. It doesn't give me any responses of operations so that i can not determine the errors. How i make it works well?
Question 4: In the PDE error log, it shows me many error messages 'can not read documents /com.ibm.etools.mft.eb.doc/aq13XXX_.htm'. how can i make it works.
Question 5: I created a config manager on windows 2000 server, and created a broker on AIX5.2. I wanna deploy my projects on to the broker. All of configurations i made are followed by the administration documents. But it still doesn't work. Bidirect channel are working well, transmission queue's name are set by target queue manager's name. What i need to do additionally?
Thanks! |

Check the error log and the Event Viewer (Windows). Do you find any errors being displayed there. |

Please describe your environemtn clearly.
Q2. says your broker is sharing the same QMGR as the config manager says that you have a WIndows enironment with config mgr and broker on the same windows machine.
Q5 says that you have broker on AIX.
Do you ahev two environments ?
It is better to concentrate to get one working first. I'll pick the windows environment first and start by ensure that all the nstallation are completed with no error.
If you have the code recently, the install CDs should be at least at CSD01 level. Are you installation CSD01.
Once you are sure that your installation is clean, you can use "help/cheat sheet/prepare the sample for first use" to run the samples which will verify your installation and also help you to understand how the broker works.
If you want to skip that, you can start with a simple flow with just an MQINPUT node and a MQ OUTPUT node to ensure that you can get a message throught he flow after you deploy the message to the borker. |

Hi,
I have two enviroments. One is enviroment that a broker and config manager are both configured on a windows platform and share same queue manager. Another one is enviroment that the config manager is configured on windows platform, but broker is configured on a AIX52 platform. These two brokers share same configure manager.
I installed mqsi CSD02 on both platform. And after installation, I tried default configuration in toolkit. It works well when the configure manger and broker are configured on same windows platform with same queue manager. But when i added a new broker which configured on AIX platform into the domain. I encounterd the problems above.
My configuration steps are:
1. create databases and odbc connection
2. create config manager
3. create broker
4. create transmission queues, sender and receiver channel pair
5. start channels
6. start config manager and broker
7. add a new domain
8. add the broker into the domain
(I'll go back to the lab later, and then post the error messages)
Thanks. |

Hi,
I created a config manager and a broker by different queue manager.
The channels between their queue manager are connected perfectly before my adding the broker into domain.
But after adding broker, the toolkit shows that the broker and execution group(default) can not be runned. And strangely, the channel which is broker to config manager(sender to receiver) is broken.
The error message showed in event viewer are:
Channel program ended abnormally.
Channel program 'BROKER_TO_MGR' ended abnormally.
Look at previous error messages for channel program 'BROKER_TO_MGR' in the error files to determine the cause of the failure.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Message receipt confirmation failed.
Channel 'BROKER_TO_MGR' has ended because the remote queue manager did not accept the last batch of messages.
The error log for the channel at the remote site will contain an explanation of the failure. Contact the remote Systems Administrator to resolve the problem.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Message sequence number error for channel 'BROKER_TO_MGR'.
The local and remote queue managers do not agree on the next message sequence number. A message with sequence number 1 has been sent when sequence number 34 was expected.
Determine the cause of the inconsistency. It could be that the synchronization information has become damaged, or has been backed out to a previous version. If the situation cannot be resolved, the sequence number can be manually reset at the sending end of the channel using the RESET CHANNEL command.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Could anyone give me ideas?
Thanks! |

It seems you have re-created one of the queue manager, so the message sequence number on the channel is out-of-sync. So you need to reset the sequence number on the channel to 1 between these two queue mangers before starting the channel.
Also, in V5 Execution groups will not be running until you deploy a message flow to it. _________________ Kiran
