Hi,
What you think should happen when MQ-CICS Bridge times out.
I mean when we dont get a response from the DPL program within the specified wait time on the bridge.
Thanks,
Nyzam
The wait time specified on bridge start up and/or in the MQCIH header relates to how long the bridge will wait for subsequent messages in a multi message Unit of Work. It does not have any effect on controlling how long the invoked DPL program can run for. When the program eventually completes or is terminated by a CICS timeout such as the runaway time limit then the bridge will send its reply message.
Your client application may well have its own wait time limit specified on the MQGET for the reply message. You have to decide how your application is going to behave if the reply does not arrive within an acceptable time but does arrive later.
