Hello all,

I'm new to this, so I'm asking for help...I've just installed the WebSphere Client v5 for Windows. Now, I'm trying to see if the connection is working and I dont know how do do this. I tried to run the samples in C#, but I get an error - the queue name parameter - dont know what to use. Also, how can one test this without a server? are there some test server where one can learn how to do this type of connection? Also, should I have any environment variables set ? I just tried to set the MQMSERVER, but...dont know any server.

I very much appreciate any help on this subject

You can't use the MQClient without an MQServer.

And as far as I know, there isn't a test server anywhere.

The security issues alone would be a nightmare - imagine putting ANY kind of server (web, email, ftp) up on the public internet and letting everyone have free and open access to it.

That said, there's usually a thirty-day demo/trial of MQ available.

And AFAIK there is nothing called WebSphere Client v5. I believe you meant to say Websphere MQ Client V 5.3.

Jeff had already replied to your question. If you think that's not the answer then feel free to post it.
