I'm trying to create two WBIMB V5 brokers on the same Windows 2000 OS. The first one is working fine, however, after creating the second broker, when I start it up using a different DB2 broker db instance, I get the following error in the event viewer:
*******************************************************

The description for Event ID ( 4 ) in Source ( DB2 ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event:
2004-07-21-09.47.46.828000 Instance:DB2 Node:000
PID:1776(db2syscs.exe) TID:1980 Appid:*LOCAL.DB2.010B01134746
database monitor sqm.start_evmon Probe:32 Database:WBIBKDBQ

, ADM2004E The Event Monitor "DB2DETAILDEADLOCK" was not activated because there
was not enough storage space in the database monitor heap. To remedy this
problem, increase the MON_HEAP_SZ DBM configuration parameter.

***************************************************

I'm running DB2 V8.1 and I cannot find the configuration parameter MON_HEAP_SZ???

First question, can I run two brokers using the same db instance?
Second question, if not, where is this configuration parameter?

Thanks for any assistance,

Yes

F.Y.I. In the DB2 Control Center, right-click on the instance (default is 'DB2'), select Configure Parameters. The MON_HEAP_SZ DBM parameter can be found under the Performance heading.

JT,
Thanks for your reply, I didn't think to look at a higher level for the parameter.

I was able to create the second broker under the same db instance and have successfully got both brokers to process the message flows.

Thanks for your assistance.

Did you create another database in the same database instance or did you use the same database itself?
Just in case if you are confused between those two...
