Hi All,

I am working on developing API Exits on AS400.

If I have to develop API Exits in Windows, I need to specify the API information in Service window -> QueueManager properties.
I want to replicate the samething on AS400. Where do i specify the Exit name in the Queue manager properties?

IBM Site does not provide any samples for API Exit on AS400. Should this mean that API Exits cannot be developed for iSeries machine.

Any pointers to this will be really helpful.

Thanks,
~MB

Have you looked at Chapter 9 of the iSeries System Administration Guide?

There's an entire section devoted to API exits.

API exits are supported on iSeries and a sample AMQSAXE0 is shipped with 5.3. You can find it in QMQMSAMP/QCSRC.

I do not personally have any experience with iSeries so I cannot provide any specific help, but I can suggest that you look in the MQ Application Programming Guide. Search for AMQSAXE or API Exit and you will find instructions for compiling and configuring api exits on iSeries.
