Hi,
Does anyone knows how to interpret the MQ Client Channel Definition Table (AMQCLCLNT.TAB) file? I would like to know the organization of this file so that I can prepare this TAB file for MQ client.
I know the runmqsc command can be used to define the client connection definition on the TAB file and MQ Explorer as well. However, I noticed that these 2 methods always append a new block of definition onto the TAB file eventhrough i'm updating the existing client connection definition. I don't want this as it will keep increasing the TAB file.
Thanks. |

Would it help if you define the channels, and then look up the file? Define channel again and look up the file again?
The file is created after you define the channel. So if you want to prepare for an MQ client, just define the channel for that client and you get the file.
Is there something missing here? or I did not get the question? |

I'm able to get the updated file. However, this file is keeping increase it file size each time an action is performed on it, for instance delete or modifying client connection definition.
I don't want this to be happened. I'm planning to write my owned program to create that TAB file instead using the IBM supplied facilities. |

hmmm, I never seen the content of the file myself. So I am not sure. I thought it is in binary.
The file contains all info on the channel.. defined, deleted, altered.. so it is logical to grow. |
