Hello,
I am trying to find out information on the use of MQXML. Basically we have a process whereby a VB application is building a message and also sending information via ODBC to a remote UDB. I think we can replace this process using MQXML so that it can connect directly to UDB. Is this possible? If so, where can I get information on a coding example or design example?
Thanks,
Barry |

There is nothing called MQXML. MQ can transport many types of messages and XML message (which basically is a string) is one of them.

I don't think so. |

If this is the DB2 XML Extender and MQ interface you are asking about, then look in the DB2 docs.

After looking at the DB2 Docs and MQ docs, it appears that you need to be using MQ AMI in order to use the DB2 XML Extender with the MQ functionality as well. It appears that you have to specify a particular policy and service in the SQL statements. Does anyone know if you don't have to use AMI, and can specify queue names and options for the 'open', 'put' etc.. when using DB2 XML Extender with MQ?? Has anyone used this before...if so, might you provide me with a quick coding example for a simple data insertion into a table using 1 queue, then having the table updated??
Thanks,
B |
