Hi,

I run a cron that start the record image and after that teh mqllm.ksh that delete the old logs:

0 3 * * * /opt/mqm/bin/rcdmqimg -m QT02 -t all '*'
0 4 * * * /db2data/inst/mqm/LinearLog/mqllm.ksh -q QT02

the first time it had works well but since that day when I start the mqllm.ksh -q QT02 -v ( with trace ) it say that it need the S000001.LOG
and since 2 weeks it is the same problem !

when I run rcdmqimg :
/opt/mqm/bin/rcdmqimg -l -m QT02 -t all '*'

the output is :

AMQ7467: The oldest log file required to start queue manager QT02 is S0000991.LOG.
AMQ7468: The oldest log file required to perform media recovery of queue manager QT02 is S0000991.LOG.

If I check the log files the rcdmqimg had write nothing to the logs !?!?

When I start the mqllm.ksh:

# mqllm.ksh -q QT02 -a /db2data/inst/mqm/LinearLog -v <
2004/06/29 11:36:45 Beginning execution of MQSeries Linear Logfile Maintenance for Queue Manager "QT02"

2004/06/29 11:37:18 Set RECOVERY to 0000001 as of 04/06/16/11:13:26

2004/06/29 11:37:18 Oldest file number necessary for Restart is "0000309"
2004/06/29 11:37:18 Files newer than and including S0000001.LOG MUST be retained

Can you post the full output of rcdmqimg ?
I use it a little bit differently:
Code:
rcdmqimg -l -m QM_CMSZ -t all \*

Check specially if the output is the same whether you have temporary queues open or not. (had the problem with CSD06)

Anything in the queue manager error logs?

I had no problems going from csd06 to csd07 on AIX with linear logging

Hi,

I have find the problem WMQ was installed on a veritas Cluster but not properly. So that the rcdmqimg did not write in the right log. I have reinstall WMQ on the Cluster and it was OK for Linear Logging sckript.

Thanks
