Dear All MQSeries Experts out there!
I am totally lost after I tried hard to start the broker but not success.
I was using the command below:
/home/test>> strmqbrk -m QMTEST
The error message:
MQSeries message broker for queue manager QMTEST not active.
For your info, the queue manager is running.
Additional info is the way how I create the Queue Manager:
/home/test>> chmod 775 /disc3/test/mqm/log
/home/test>> crtmqm -ld "/disc3/test/mqm/log" QMTEST
Anything wrong with that? |

Any FDC files in /var/mqm/errors? Is there anything written to the AMQERR01.LOG file for the qmgr? |

I had check the log but I can't find the latest message. Anymore idea how to start the non-active broker?
I really try many other methods, but no use. The best and the worst method is drop the queue manager and recreate it....but of course this is not the way I want.
Please help _________________ Regards,

What does dspmqbrk -m QMTEST show?
And if you stop and start the queue manager are there any clues then in the amqerr01.log?

dspmqbrk -m QMTEST is command to display the status of the broker for the queue manager, QMTEST.
I had done the method (end and start again) but the log do not show any clues for today. I think this is not my lucky day...
Anymore ideas on how to start the broker? I afraid everytime this error occured, I need to drop the queue manager.........and it's unacceptable because my applications need 24 hours running. _________________ Regards,

Just in case if anyone needs a solution for this still..........
If the environment is AIX and MQ Version 5.2, check if you have the environment variable $LDR_CNTRL set. If you u need to unset it (export $LDR_CNTRL="") . Then start the broker. It will start without any issues.
