Hello All,
Iam trying to connect from one Windows xp machine to ConfigMgr (V5) in another XP machine. While Iam trying to connect, it gives me the following error.
"'userxxx@computer_name' does not have authority to view the object."
I could see the configMgr but, Also says (Restricted Access) for the Broker Topology and Topics under the ConfigMgr.
I have created a account with name : 'userxxx' in the box where configmgr is running, I have added the user in mqm, mqbrkrs, mqbrtpic, mqbrdevt, mqbrops, mqbrasgn groups. Also userxxx has admin previleges too.
pls help.
Thanks,
Venky

UserABC on Machine 1 is not the same as UserABC on Machine 2.
If you want UserABC/Machine1 to be authorized to the ConfigMgr on Machine 2, you will need to add UserABC/Machine1 to the groups, not UserABC/Machine2.
This is basic Windows security. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I have the same problem here. I already figured it was a windows problem, but somehow I can only add local users to the groups.
The machines are not part of a domain, but of a workgroup, maybe this is part the problem? |
