Hi Guys,
I have situation where, due to some reason on application side, Workflow did not got the response back from the application for the Sync UPES. They have lost the co-relationID for this UPES. Now I need to restart/resend a new message to application, so that they respond to WF back. But, In thin client, when I click on 'Force restart', It will bring the UPES activity to 'Ready' State rather than running. This will not send the message to application. Is there any way we can resend/start the activity so that the message can be sent with differrent/same co-relationID?
Worst case would be, force finishing the UPES activity(through thin client monitor) by setting the required container values manually.

Any ideas??

thanks,

Maheshpn

OK... at this point your only recourse is to do the start with the FAT client. Or write some code to do the start. The Thin client by default will do a CheckOut when you hit the start button.

In the future consider defining your UPES activity with so that the program can not be checked out. This can be done from the control tab of the activity in BT (not sure where this is in Modeler, but I am sure it is there). Typically you will have this set as INHERITED by default, and you will need to remove the inherit check, and make sure that the checkbox labeled "Program activities can be checked out" is UNCHECKED.

If you have the activity defined like this the default webclient, will turn the checkout into a start, which is what you need.

GOOD LUCK

Just in case if someone do a search for this topic:
In Modeler this will be in "Settings" tab of the activity.

Thanks Jhon,
I will make sure that, all the UPES activities have that box unchecked.
