I have 2 queue servers(Windows 2000 MQ5.3) try to communicate each other by using sender and reciever channel. The channels are working fine without turn on SSL CipherSpec Standard settings. When I trun on on both side with same setting RC4_MD5_US than channels cannot started on both side. Here are the error show on NT event log,
Event Type: Error
Event Source: WebSphere MQ
Event Category: None
Event ID: 9690
Date: 6/10/2004
Time: 9:29:48 AM
User: N/A
Computer: VMSIMQSP03
Description:
The public key in the issuer's certificate has failed to validate the subject certificate.
The public key in the issuer's certificate (CA or signer certificate), is used to verify the signature on the subject certificate assigned to channel QMVMSFACHP.NCSILS025. This verification has failed, and the subject certificate therefore cannot be used. The WebSphere MQ error recording routine has been called.
Check that the issuer's certificate is valid and available, and that it is up to date. Verify with the certificate's issuer that the subject certificate and issuer certificate should still be valid. If the problem cannot be resolved then use the standard facilities supplied with your system to record the problem identifier and save the generated output files, and then contact your IBM support center. Do not discard these files until the problem has been resolved.
If anyone have any idea how to resolved this would very appreciate you response.
Did you remember to add the trusted root certificate to the MQ certificate store or did you just add the queue manager certificate? You need to add both.

We did install root certificate but seems install with bad root certificate. I have to remove all the root certificates and resintall it again and it work now. Thanks for your help.
