We are using MQSeries v5.3 (with MQ Update 5, U487851) on a cluster. The software is installed on vg00, in /opt/mqm. The logfiles are located on a shared vg, in /var/mqm.
We have 2 new servers, configured as cluster. We plan to install the same version in /opt/mqm on the new servers, and then stop mqseries, mount the /var/mqm on the new server (the shared vg is on a disk array), and start MQSeries.
Will MQSeries find ist configuration, queues and everything ? I hope the /opt/mqm filesystem contains only the software, and all files related to queue manager are on /var/mqm...
Thanks for your help _________________ only happy when it rains |

for info, it is an MC/ServiceGuard cluster, the MQSeries installation is simple, no cluster, the application is running on one node of the cluster, or on the other. _________________ only happy when it rains |
