WEBSPHERE & MQ SERIES ADMINISTRATOR
This position is located in Atlanta, GA. They are looking for a local candidate although will consider others if you are open to relocating yourself.
The Websphere and MQ Series Administrator will be responsible for assisting the Director of Interfaces and Systems in the design, development, and maintenance of MQ Series based processes and to develop and implement applications for the benefit of the organization’s computer systems.
The key responsibilities of this administrator will be to ensure the integrity and operability of MQ Series and/or Websphere Applications, promptly analyze and resolve issues with the applications, and efficiently develop and implement solutions using MQ Series and/or Websphere on the company’s computer systems, responding promptly to issues that occur after hours. The administrator will also be developing software for a Sun or HP system.
In addition to the above responsibilities the administrator will also provide guidance and assistance in the integration of current applications, monitoring and analyzing the applications as needed. He or she will also serve as a reference source for development of new solutions for planned projects requiring interface to internal or external sources as well as remaining current with new developments and enhancements to MQ Series and Websphere.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Systems, Math, or related field
Minimum of 4 years experience in developing and implementing MQ Series and/or Websphere in a networking environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of the AIX or related systems.
Working knowledge of MQ Series, Websphere and JAVA; COBOL, "C", or RPG; DB2/400 and Oracle; AIX; experience with utility software.
Excellent analytical skills; ability to analyze oral and written statements concerning a variety of business and engineering problems.
Ability to effectively translate business solutions into detailed system and program specifications and to communicate issues and solutions.
Excellent planning skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
