I am trying to force the character set (CCSID) for messages sent to the server to use the server's default character set.

I tried using...

objMQMsg.CharacterSet = MQC.MQCCSI_Q_MGR

when creating the message but that does not seem to work. My message always arrives on the server as 437 from my Windows 2000 client machine even though the server is set to 1209.

Am I setting the Character set in the wrong place? If so how do I go about forcing the CCSID.
