We have WBI Monitor 4.2.4 but the local WAS instance on our AIX box is 5.1 - can I configure WBI Monitor to run with WAS 5.1 or do I have to wait for a new version of the monitor ?
The Installation Wizard requires WAS4 or WAS5 and I would like to know whether it is worthwhile attempting the manual config.

The Wizard and the documentation says that WAS 5.0 is required - past experience suggests that new releases have problems - such as the Web Client with an unsupported WAS

I believe 5.1 is ok if the wizard says 5.0. Did you get any problems configuring it? _________________ -Ratan |

WBI Monitor 4.2.4 will work on WAS 5.1. I installed WBI Monitor 4.2.4 on WAS Enterprise 5.1 on Windows 2000. It's working fine.
Why Document didn't mention is, IBM didn't test fully on WAS 5.1. |

The WBI Monitor can be installed on the Websphere Application Server 5.1. Just be ready to perform manual installation of the WBI Monitor and the web client. _________________ Praveen K. Chhangani,
